I understand their frustration, but even if “ruling elites” are to blame for the problems of Trump’s supporters, it is not Washington bureaucrats who are fearful of what Trump’s America might mean for them. It is the people in my neighborhood: Muslims, Jews, Hispanics, women. Why must the salve for their frustration come at the expense of others’ fear?
